We are navigating through some big and unprecedented changes right now and I wanted to take a moment to connect with you and talk about what is going on.
Our number one priority at this time is the health and safety of our community — our current and future students, staff and our industry partners.
To ensure this, we have temporarily moved Orana completely online, so every staff member and every student is now studying or working from home.
The classes are running as per usual with our fantastic industry trainers – the only difference is that it’s online and we may be wearing our pyjama pants to class. And although our industry partners have had to put a temporary pause on internships, we are coming up with new and creative ways to continue mentoring our students at industry standards.
We know that people are losing jobs, losing loved ones and the global fashion community is changing in many different ways. Thinking about the future may be overwhelming right now, and that is totally natural.
I will be honest, as a business owner myself, the next little while will be challenging. But I just want to personally let you know that no matter what, our commitment to supporting your future in the fashion industry will not change.
The extra time you now have due to being home could be the perfect time to think about what you want for your future. If you come across any questions or doubt about your future in fashion, please reach out. We are here for you and it’s as easy as sending us an email or giving us a call.
This is also a good time for you to focus on learning and up-skilling for your future. Training aspiring fashion professionals is what we do best, and that is also the best way we can support our community. So our team and I are working on some exciting content like free online guest talks to help you learn about fashion and move forward in your goals.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with you – please stay safe, listen to the expert advice and don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
