Orana Graduate
Eunoia Socials

“A key highlight of my studies was the internship I completed with BLANCA, along with participating in the end-of-term shoot weeks, which allowed us to express our creativity.”

What course are you (or were you) studying?

Diploma of Social Media Marketing (major in fashion, beauty & lifestyle)

Congratulations on your new role. What is your role title and what company do you work for?

I am a content creator at Eunoia Socials, a boutique social media agency.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I typically spend my workday attending to my allocated tasks, which involve editing client content, planning for the upcoming month, and then scheduling the approved content. I am luckily able to complete these activities from home or from a nearby café with my boss and colleague.

What are you enjoying most about your new role and/or the company you are working for?

I am enjoying absolutely everything about my new role! My job allows me to express my creativity both in person and online, which is perfect for me. As well as working with lovely girls who have been so kind, I am grateful to have been able to land a job in the field I have planned on entering since I began my studies at Orana.

Tell us about your career journey and how you landed your role.

During my Diploma of Social Media Marketing at Orana, I was fortunate to be selected for an internship with the Australian fashion brand BLANCA, assisting in the lead-up to their show at Australian Fashion Week 2024. I also had the incredible opportunity to work at the event itself, which was such a memorable experience. This hands-on exposure gave me deeper insight into both the fashion and social media industries and reinforced my passion to pursue a career in this space.

After completing my studies, I came across a Facebook ad from a boutique social media agency looking for a graphic designer. Although that wasn't the exact role I was aiming for, I took the initiative to reach out, introduce myself, and enquire about any potential opportunities more aligned with my skillset. That step led to a conversation about a content creator position. I was asked to produce a piece of content, which the founder really liked and from there, I was offered the job at Eunoia Socials.

What are some of your career and study highlights so far?

A key highlight of my studies was the internship I completed with BLANCA, along with participating in the end-of-term shoot weeks, which allowed us to express our creativity. On the career side, a major milestone has been securing my current role as a content creator, as well as taking on freelance modelling opportunities that have contributed to building both my personal brand and creative portfolio.

Recalling your time at Orana, what was it like being a fashion student?

I absolutely LOVED being a fashion student! Traveling to campus to study and connect with both the trainers and classmates was such an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Do you have any advice or tips for our current and future students looking to pursue a similar career?

Don't be afraid to reach out to a brand you admire, sending that email or message could lead to unexpected opportunities.
